At 23:30 the handling deputy cleared after adding notes and said he would stay in Alta for the rest of the night in case of a callback. Last known status: no contact made on air.
  • Two-vehicle crash blocks lane on West Broadway. At 12:42 units were sent to West Broadway (a START driver placed it in the center turn lane between roughly Scott Lane/"Boise" and the Maverik area) for a non-injury collision with debris in the roadway and lane blockage. Two tows were ordered (one for a Toyota, 12:52); units cleared by about 13:23.
  • Vehicle vs. deer on South US-89 at Game Creek. At 17:35 dispatch broadcast a non-injury collision, vehicle versus deer, South 89 at Game Creek; the deer was deceased and out of the roadway. A Highway Patrol unit (Pad 38) responded from about five minutes out.

A unit returned to the same address for follow-up at 20:41 and linked the call to the DV case.

Also on the air

A routine Monday otherwise: roughly 33 plate checks and 16 driver's-license/records checks across town and the highways; a residential alarm on West Saddle Butte Drive (user error, 08:35) and a commercial burglar alarm at the Blue Lion on North Millward (employees on a construction property, cleared ~08:56); a trespass/unpaid-rent call on North Cache; a cold hit-and-run report (10:45); a protection-order inquiry needing a translator (10:50); a fraud report (16:09); a parking complaint on East Pearl and another at Snow King; an abandoned vehicle on Teton Drive; two injured-deer calls on Broadway, including one put down by Game & Fish near the hospital (08:25); and motorist assists on North 89 near the Wilcox Gallery and at a minivan down an embankment near the fish hatchery that turned out to be tagged abandoned (21:13). School buses (TG 1812) sorted out three student mix-ups, all resolved; START buses ran radio checks and fought an AVL/logon glitch. WYDOT traffic included two Teton Pass oversize (weigh-in-motion) crossings and a stolen-vehicle BOLO out of Cheyenne for a white-and-orange GMC box van (15:08).

By the numbers

  • 1,402 transmissions, 453 exchanges (218 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
  • Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch, 839 transmissions. Busiest hour: 10:00–11:00, 123 transmissions.
  • Categories: status 190, unclassified 146, plate-check 33, medical 19, records-check 16, transit 13, traffic-complaint 9, fire 8 (all three alarm calls false), crash 5, animal 4, traffic-stop 3, welfare 2, plus singles for alarm, suspicious, domestic, hazard and noise-parking.

Caveats

  • TG 13751 (32 transmissions, ~13 medical pages) is Fremont County EMS paging out of Lander/Riverton/Dubois, and TG 109/113/6382/6586 carried statewide WHP and TMC traffic from Rock Springs, Evanston, Pinedale, Lyman and Green River — none of that is Teton County activity and it is excluded from the log below except where it touched local units.
  • Machine transcription was rough all day: many unit numbers, road names ("Red Seat Road," "No Name Street," "Jackass Meadows") and the link between the 21:21 welfare call and the 23:02 armed-subject update are inferred from context and should be verified before publication.
  • 146 exchanges were unclassified and overnight coverage was thin (3–10 transmissions/hour from midnight to 06:00), so minor items may be missing.
