Suspected fentanyl overdose reversed at a bar on East Snow King Avenue.

Top stories

  • Suspected fentanyl overdose reversed at a bar on East Snow King Avenue. At 21:19 dispatch paged Medic 10 for a man in his mid-30s, breathing but unresponsive for 5–10 minutes inside the bar; police units self-assigned en route, one asking over the air who had Narcan (TG 1801/1807). By 21:23 officers reported him conscious, and at 21:31 Engine 11/Medic 10 cleared with no patient transported.
  • Domestic assault and REDDI report on South US-89 ends with one arrest and a hospital transport. At 22:15 dispatch broadcast an inbound REDDI northbound from Evans Road — a gray/dark gray Ford F-250, with the RP reporting he'd been assaulted by the heavily intoxicated driver, who had tried to take a 2-year-old. Deputies stopped the vehicle near Von Gontard's/Game Creek; at 22:26 medics (Medic 10, Engine 31) were paged for a woman reporting she'd been strangled. PBTs of .171 and .087 were logged; one male was transported to jail at 23:12 and a patient went to St. John's at 23:16. Initial accounts of who was victim and who was suspect conflicted on air.
  • Halloween party of roughly 100 intoxicated juveniles breaks up in Hoback. A child called dispatch at 20:02 to report a party planned for midnight on Lee Canyon Road [suspect road name]; at 23:36 neighbors off Old Yellowstone reported ~100 intoxicated juveniles and heavy vehicle traffic. Multiple sheriff's units dispersed the crowd toward the park-and-ride; deputies tracked a black Dodge Challenger, a white Tacoma and a Subaru full of teens to the High School Road area and contacted groups at Hoback Market. Still active as the log ended at midnight.
  • Possible stroke in the Cottonwood Canyon area; helicopter put on standby. A 13:37 medical page sent Medic 60 to West Cottonwood Canyon Road for a woman described as slurring her words and disoriented. Battalion 1 confirmed Air Idaho's Air One available at a 20-minute ETA (13:47–13:51), but medics stood the helicopter down after assessment at 13:56 and transported by ground to St. John's at 14:07.
  • Three fire/gas calls, all unfounded. A 03:50 commercial fire alarm at a four-story apartment complex on Powderhorn Lane drew Engine 11, Medic 10 and Battalion 1; crews found no smoke or fire and cleared it as inadvertent activation at 04:17. A 09:14 report of natural-gas smell at Wagon Road and Martin Creek Road was canceled after a deputy's recon found no odor and all-propane homes (stand-down 09:27). A 20:54 residential fire alarm on West Phillips Road was stood down at 20:58.
  • Two Halloween-night disturbances. At 21:32, multiple units went to Albertsons for a woman reportedly hitting people at the entrance after an argument involving her 5-year-old; the call came in through a language line and no arrest was announced on air. At 22:45, deputies responded to the Stagecoach on WY-22 for an aggressive customer pushing and threatening people, who left eastbound on an e-bike; after an unsuccessful search toward the Wilson School and Fish Creek (UTL 23:12), dispatch connected a deputy with him by phone and contact was made on WY-22 at 23:19. Dispatch relayed prior harassment history and mental-health concerns.

Also on the air

A steady Halloween rhythm of traffic work: roughly 51 plate checks and 36 records checks, six formal traffic stops (nearly all warnings), and extra units on a DUI grant detail from mid-afternoon. Two minor crashes: a collision with a damaged white Jeep at South Cache and East Broadway (13:13), and an unoccupied vehicle that rolled into planters on West Pearl (18:13 — the vehicle was gone when an officer arrived). The overnight shift handled an RV running its generator in an apartment-complex lot (verbal warning, 00:36) and a running lost-hoodie-and-iPhone saga at the Rose that included the wrong phone being returned (01:46–03:12). Daytime brought paper service rounds, an abandoned vehicle on South 89 at Big Trail, a residential alarm, a cold threat call cleared with a report by 18:01, a theft report at Old West Cabins, and a noise party on Stormy Circle (warning, ~22:55). Animal traffic included a roadkill elk referral to a game warden, a dead deer near Teton Village reported by a START driver, and a skittish loose dog a deputy tried to lure into a patrol car. START buses otherwise logged routine radio checks.

By the numbers

  • 2,218 transmissions across 483 exchanges (177 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
  • Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch, 1,765 transmissions (~80%); Fire/EMS (1807) 150; WYDOT 6403/6386 combined 177.
  • Busiest hour: 21:00–22:00 with 268 transmissions; the 19:00–midnight stretch accounted for nearly half the day's traffic.
  • Categories: status 214, unclassified 97, plate-check 51, medical 42, records-check 36, traffic-complaint 10, fire 9, traffic-stop 6, animal 5, crash 4, suspicious 3, domestic 3, transit 2, welfare 1.

Caveats

  • Not all of this is Teton County. TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander/Riverton) — about 17 medical pages including a 17:38 cardiac arrest with CPR in progress and a 23:51 injury crash (vehicle vs. cow) on WY-789. TG 109 (WHP statewide), TG 6386 and TG 113 carried mostly Sweetwater/Fremont/Uinta traffic (Rock Springs, I-80, Dubois).
  • Transcription quality is rough. Location names like "Cloudveil," "Blair Apartments," "Herford Ranch" and "Lee Canyon Road" are best guesses from garbled audio; unit numbers and plate/name phonetics are unreliable, and many lines were flagged low-confidence.
  • Several outcomes never aired, including the final disposition of the Albertsons disturbance and the 23:30 Ford Explorer REDDI (deputies located the vehicle at 23:33 and the driver appears to have been released to a third party [suspect]).
