- Missing juvenile from the middle school, found safe. At 10:49 a Van Vleck staffer reported a child dropped at the middle school was no longer there. Units checked the Target area and several apartment complexes; the juvenile was located at 11:41 and given a courtesy ride back by 11:52. A follow-up search resumed early afternoon until the school called at 14:21 to say he had turned up back at school. A second report at 15:18 — a fourth grader (Colter Bay/Moran area, per a broken transmission) who didn't get off the bus — has no resolution in the log.
- Possible cardiac arrest downtown downgraded. At 01:58 PD and Medic 10/Engine 11/Battalion 3 (TG 1801/1807) were started to a West Broadway bar ("the Rose" per transcript) for a reported cardiac arrest with CPR possibly in progress; officers on scene found a heavily intoxicated male, conscious and breathing. Transported, arriving St. John's at 02:22.
- Phantom crash-detection alert on WY-390. An automatic crash notification (no caller contact) at the south end of the Windy Mile, mm 4.5, paged a full assignment at 08:17 — Battalion 1, Engine 61, Medic 60, Rescue 24, Support 69. Response was scaled back to two units, who searched to Teton Village and were unable to locate anything; a highway unit drove 390 to the park gate at 08:42, also UTL. Apparent false alert.
- Two reckless-driver complaints, both located. 12:25: a white RAV4 eastbound WY-22 from the truck arrester, unable to maintain lane, relayed to WHP (TG 113); found parked at a liquor store by 12:43. 12:54: a gray Prius eastbound Snow King Ave reportedly ran three stop lights; found parked at 13:07 and contacted.
- Late traffic stop ends in custody and a tow. A 22:19 stop near Broadway found the driver on unsupervised DUI probation with terms including no driving without a valid license; dispatch aired a 10-95 (in custody) at ~22:29 [suspect on details] and the vehicle was towed.
Also on the air
Heavy, routine evening traffic enforcement under the DUI grant drove much of the volume: 58 plate checks and 31 records checks, mostly on US-89, WY-22 and WY-390, nearly all ending in verbal or written warnings. Six fire-category exchanges included a residential fire alarm in the Fall Canyon/"solitude" area at 12:02 (Engine 11 investigated with a keyholder, nothing found) and two burglar alarms (04:44 residential, 18:07 commercial), all code 4. Other medicals: a seizure at Snake River Brewing at 14:15 (updated to a 33-year-old female, not conscious but breathing, transported), a hip-pain call on North Teton Pines Drive at 15:01, a Delta-level "ill male, not alert" on North Cameron Road at 18:26, a juvenile seizure at the Van Vleck facility on South Cache at 19:53, and late-night Medic 50 airport shuttles supporting an air-ambulance transfer (22:25–23:43). WYDOT's weigh-in-motion flagged three overweight/uncovered loads crossing Teton Pass (66,179 lbs at 07:52; 70,560 at 08:55; 94,213 at 11:35), and a commercial truck stopped on WY-22 was warned at 07:46. Also: a trespass/soliciting complaint at the North Cache Chevron, a smashed car window in the SO back lot, a found purse, two 911 open lines (one traced to a fax line), a noise complaint resolved, moose on the road near Dornan's, school-bus dispatchers tracking down several students, and an officer posted to trunk-or-treat on Town Square at 14:02.
By the numbers
- 2,668 transmissions across 614 exchanges (246 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
- Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch, 1,949 transmissions; next, TG 1820 START transit (183) and TG 1812 (173).
- Busiest hour: 19:00–20:00 with 235 transmissions; the 15:00–21:00 block carried over 1,100.
- Categories: status 223, unclassified 188, plate-check 58, medical 56, records-check 31, transit 17, traffic-complaint 11, crash 7, fire 6, animal 5, welfare 3, traffic-stop 3, 911-open-line 2, plus single noise, alarm, domestic and suspicious entries.
Caveats
- Not all logged traffic is Teton County: TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander/Riverton, ~14 pages today) and TG 109/113 WHP statewide traffic was mostly I-80 and Fremont County complaints. TG 1812 appears to be school-district bus dispatch and TG 20273 possibly a detention/records facility; neither is confirmed.
- Whisper garbled many proper nouns: "Gravosco/Gravant" (likely Gros Ventre), "the Rose," "Barbie C. Ranch Road," "North Ash," "East Ohlone" and several unit numbers are best guesses. Lines marked [suspect] are low-confidence.
- The 15:18 missing-fourth-grader report and the 21:32 possibly-intoxicated-driver complaint at the Timbers have no clear on-air resolution; they may have been handled by phone.
