Top stories
- Multi-engine response to a fully involved garage fire off Flat Creek Drive. At 09:09 an officer reported a house fire with the garage "fully engulfed"; dispatch paged Battalion 3, Engines 11, 6-1 and 7-1, Medic 60 and Truck 16 (TG 1801/1807/1808). Incoming crews were warned of natural gas actively burning, deputies evacuated neighboring homes on Pine Drive and Aspen, and Flat Creek was closed at Snow King at 09:16, with START shuttles detoured. The address was dispatched as "Black Creek" but fireground and closure traffic consistently say Flat Creek.
- Fire knocked down in about 35 minutes; no injuries reported on air. Crews made an interior attack on a two-story home with fire in the deck and attic; at 09:32 command reported explosions on one side, possibly ammunition or fireworks, and went defensive there. By 09:44 crews reported complete knockdown (attic reading 140°F, no active flame). At 09:54 fire officer F-3 asked dispatch to contact the Red Cross to relocate two adults, one child and one dog. Command terminated at 12:52; the bus detour lifted around 12:21.
- Reckless driver on Highway 22 located after multi-channel BOLO. A 07:27 complaint described a silver/blue Dodge Caravan eastbound from the state line repeatedly leaving its lane and blocking passing; WHP rebroadcast it statewide at 07:31. A sheriff's unit found the apparent vehicle on 22 near the 9 at 07:40; the driver's records came back clear and valid at 07:45, no arrest reported on air.
- Hit-and-run reported on High School Road. At 16:05 units were sent to the MovieWorks parking lot for a hit-and-run that occurred on High School Road; the suspect vehicle was described only as white with a missing passenger-side mirror. Also on the air
A routine day otherwise: 41 plate checks and 15 records checks, five traffic stops ending mostly in verbal warnings, and six alarm calls — all resolved as false or accidental, including a commercial alarm at the Blue Lion (10:01, building secure), a residential alarm on Upper Cache Creek Drive (keyholder set it by accident), and a 5,000 sq ft log home on North Avalanche Canyon Road where a lone firefighter investigated and cleared it as a false alarm by 16:33. Deputies handled found luggage behind a cement block at a West Snow King Avenue trailhead lot (10:36), a report of a vehicle "missing" from Town Square that turned out to have been towed after a Tuesday-night incident, a Cybertruck U-turn complaint on Scott/Broadway (17:31), a no-headlights vehicle on North 89 by the Elk Refuge Inn (18:42), a late noise complaint over a pickup blasting music (verbal warning, 21:30), and a phone-app personal-safety alarm at a North Cache business still being checked as the log ended (23:58). One officer cleared with a report and battery citation at 13:34, possibly tied to an earlier school contact on High School Road [suspect]. START had a long mechanical day — a stuck rear door on bus 31 from 05:20 onward, and a shuttle with a check-engine alarm and oil leak pulled over at Scott and Broadway at 16:21 — and school-bus dispatch spent the afternoon sorting out kids dropped at a library that turned out to be closed; drivers circled back and all students were accounted for.

- Categories: fire 32, medical 18, transit 22, plate-check 41, records-check 15, traffic-complaint 15, animal 8, alarm 6, traffic-stop 5, crash 1, domestic 1, warrant-ops 1, welfare 1, plus 260 status and 268 unclassified
Caveats
- Several talkgroups in today's capture are not Teton County traffic: TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander/Riverton), TG 13531 appears to be Big Horn County ("Basin," Burlington), and TG 109/113/6386 carried statewide WHP and Rock Springs–area traffic, including several I-80 driving complaints. These are excluded from the local picture above.
- The fire address was transcribed variously as "Black Creek" and "Flat Creek"; the road closure and command name ("Flat Creek Command") support Flat Creek. House numbers withheld per policy. Much of the 09:00-hour fireground audio is fragmentary, so tactical details (e.g., the ammunition/fireworks report) are as-heard and unconfirmed.
- Whisper routinely mangles unit numbers, names and road names (e.g., "Gravatt," "Whirling Lane," the "ninety with Kelly" noise call); entries marked [suspect] below are low-confidence.
