  • Subaru vs. senior center bus on South US-89 (13:50). Dispatch sent unit 776 to the Target area on South Highway 89 for a collision between a gray Subaru Crosstrek and a Senior Center transport bus (a white Ford van-body coach). Officers ran both vehicles and a driver associated with the bus; no injuries were aired, and units cleared by about 14:18.
  • Collision with road blockage on US-89 near Astoria (≈19:50). Dispatch broadcast a collision on 89 "at Astoria" (Hoback area) with road blockage; the transcription of vehicles and exact time is garbled (possibly occurred 19:21). No injury traffic or closure duration was aired on TG 1801 afterward.
  • Bar disturbance downtown ends in trespass notices and one jail transport (00:28–00:49). Multiple units responded to a downtown bar (possibly The Rose; transcription unclear) for an aggressive intoxicated male refusing to leave. Two males were released with trespass notices — one reportedly on probation out of Lincoln County — while a separate intoxicated female contacted at Broadway/Glenwood was transported to jail; a PBT of .126 was logged at 00:41.
  • Possible domestic on US-89 near mp 111–113 (18:52). A WHP trooper (TG 6382) responded after a 911 call of two people yelling and cussing at each other, originally a traffic complaint involving a gold Ford Taurus; the trooper checked two semis parked at the 111 ramp. No outcome was aired.
  • Busy day on Teton Pass. Port-of-entry flagged two overweight semis crossing the pass (73,962 lbs at 09:15; 91,418 lbs at 20:15); deputies made stops at the summit including a flatbed with no visible registration (09:56) and a motorist assist on a semi (12:16); at 20:13 WHP was notified of a blue-green sedan with Idaho plates passing on the right eastbound on WY-22 from the summit.
  • Weather tripping alarms (21:47). After at least four residential burglar alarms during the day — including one on the Highway 390 corridor canceled as false at 06:21 — dispatch was told to hold all further alarms without audio or visual confirmation as weather-related.

Also on the air

A routine-heavy day: 41 records checks and 33 plate checks, mostly traffic stops ending in verbal warnings (speed, registration, cell phone, lane violations). Medical calls included a choking male at a West Snow King Avenue condo who cleared his airway before medics arrived (12:14), an 84-year-old on Powderhorn Lane first reported unresponsive but found awake and breathing (14:12), and lift assists for an 82-year-old on North Cameron Road (16:30) and an 85-year-old on South Riverside Drive (23:47). Animal traffic: a dog loose overnight near West Snow King, a found dog impounded at the shelter, and Game & Fish unable to locate a deer reportedly tangled in a garden hose (18:00). An SRO took a battery report at the football stadium on Gregory Lane (08:21). A TJ Maxx shoplifting accusation was resolved as a civil matter (20:49–21:07), and a 911 open line at a West Main Street business was attributed to a fax machine (17:21). School buses ran an evacuation drill near Meadow/Airport Road and ran late to all three schools; START continued its Gros Ventre/Main Street detour and swapped out a bus with dead interior lights.

By the numbers

  • 1,705 transmissions across 467 exchanges (205 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
  • Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch, 1,192 transmissions; busiest hour: 20:00–21:00 with 158.

Caveats

  • A significant share of today's traffic is not Teton County: TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander) — its overdoses, the Highway 135 mp 21 rollover and the vehicle-vs-elk on US-26 near Dubois are all Fremont County — and TG 109/113/1404 carried statewide WHP and out-of-county items (I-80, US-30, US-189, US-287).
  • Whisper transcription is unreliable on unit numbers, names and roads; the 19:50 Astoria collision broadcast in particular is badly garbled, and all [suspect] entries below are low-confidence.
  • TG 1812 is unidentified but appears to be school-district bus operations; a 20:15 WHP search for a reported crashed vehicle (TG 6386) had no clear location and ended UTL.
