Top stories
- Multi-agency pursuit down US-89 south of Jackson (16:25–16:58). A deputy attempted a stop on South US-89 near Riverfront; the vehicle fled southbound through Hoback at speeds between 35 and 85 mph, at one point in the oncoming lane. Dispatch declared 10-33 emergency traffic on TG 1801 and patched with WHP (TG 109/6386); spike strips were deployed near Hoback and initially called successful, though units then reported all four tires still inflated. The vehicle was flagged as a possible Lincoln County match with alerts — driver reportedly "responds violently to law enforcement" and said he "wouldn't allow himself to be arrested again." Lincoln County authorized continuation and sent two deputies. Emergency traffic lifted at 16:43; by 16:56–16:58 troopers and deputies were code 4, and a tow was ordered for a white Toyota 4Runner near the canyon. No injuries reported on air.
- Overnight 911 open line becomes domestic call downtown (00:42–01:25). A 911 hang-up near Miller Park/West Gill produced a callback in which a male said his girlfriend was attacking him and "I'm not safe right now." Units checked three men nearby (verbal warnings for open containers, judged uninvolved), then traced the call to the White Buffalo Club. By 01:25 it was a code-4 domestic dispute; the male agreed to separate for the night and units stood by.
- Fox Creek domestic; suspect with pursuit history headed for Idaho (19:08–21:58). Deputies responded to a domestic-type incident off Fox Creek (Wilson/Alta side). The suspect left westbound in a blue 2008 BMW sedan; dispatch advised he is on probation, has priors for vehicle pursuits, and twice previously fled over Pine Creek Pass toward Idaho Falls. The victim was picked up by her mother (20:33); the suspect returned her keys around 21:53. Teton County, Idaho was notified but said its units were tied up.
- Four gas/CO/fire-alarm calls, all cleared without hazard. 14:22 — Engine 71 to a West Deer Drive multi-unit building (Wilson) for a natural-gas smell; crews found a gas burner left on since morning, clear by 14:57. 16:03 — Engine 11 to a Bar B Bar River Road residence for a CO alarm — the property's second in four days; no hazard, system reset with the keyholder. 18:45 — residential fire alarm on W. Heck of a Hill Road, false alarm. 21:09 — fire alarm on S. Red Tail Hawk Lane; no access, keyholder reached, cleared 21:49.
- Downtown disturbance (18:12–18:28). Two officers responded to Glenwood/Gill/Pearl for a highly intoxicated man reportedly threatening passersby. A PBT logged .000; he was sent on his way by 18:28.
Also on the air
A steady day otherwise: 35 records checks and 23 plate checks, with a cluster of six traffic stops after 22:00 ending mostly in verbal/written warnings for speed, stop signs and equipment, plus citations for speed, no-DL and failure to maintain lane. Medicals included a woman in her early 20s taken ill at the Rose on West Broadway (01:15, patient located in the back), an 89-year-old on Shoshone Drive (16:17) and a 65-year-old on N. Avalanche Canyon Road (18:36) — both transported to St. John's. Other texture: protection-order service questions from both parties (morning), a cold theft report, an RV with a flat tire off S. US-89 at a boat ramp, a cyclist on High School Road squirted with a water gun from a passing white BMW (13:44), roughly four vandalized mailboxes by Hoback Market, an eviction standby, parking complaints, and a citizen annoyed by a beeping skid loader. Game & Fish ran check stations (mouth of the Grays, Gros Ventre), checked an elk mortality in Buffalo Valley, and fielded a complaint of ~15 hunters on UTVs pushing elk off FS Road 309 in Hunt Area 92. START buses reported a touchscreen reboot, a found blue bag reunited via the office, a continuing Broadway-area detour, and a possible vigil gathering near the rodeo grounds at 06:26.

Caveats
- Significant non-Teton traffic in today's log: TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander/Riverton — ~8 pages), TG 109 carried mostly I-80 traffic (Evanston/Rock Springs/Lyman), and TG 1404 appears to be Lincoln County (Afton) dispatch. A statewide ATL for a silver 2003 Infiniti FX45 (Park County unauthorized-use case) was broadcast to Jackson but is not local.
- Whisper transcription is rough today: several business and road names are garbled (e.g., "Barbie Bar" = Bar B Bar, the eviction-standby location and a North Pines Way gallery name are unreadable), and the spike-strip outcome in the pursuit is contradictory on air. Low-confidence entries are marked [suspect].
- Near-silence from 02:46 to 05:00 (2–4 transmissions/hour) may be a genuinely quiet overnight or a recording gap.
