Teton Village Transportation Demand Management monitoring report set for Nov. 2 discussion
County commissioners have scheduled a Nov. 2 discussion of the Teton Village Transportation Demand Management monitoring report, after earlier reviews flagged 880 vehicles per hour winter peaks and pushed for fixes like reopening the Stilson Shuttle to the public.
Teton County commissioners have put the Teton Village Transportation Demand Management Plan Monitoring Report on their Nov. 2 calendar for discussion, as the county continues to track whether resort-area traffic mitigation is keeping winter and summer peak hour volumes in check commission calendar.
The last time this monitoring cycle formally came to the Board of County Commissioners, staff tied potential new conditions to “2024 winter peak hour traffic volume (880 vph) exceeding” the interim measure of effectiveness volume (770 vehicles per hour) Feb. 2026 staff report. Those recommended conditions included requiring the Teton Village Association (TVA) to hire a county-vetted consultant for the next report, submit two years of data, and make the Stilson lot shuttle usable for visitors, not just employees.
In a December 2025 workshop memo, the planning director similarly listed potential changes, including that “The Stilson Shuttle shall be available to Teton Village visitors” who park at Stilson Dec. 2025 workshop staff report.
