Top stories

  • Scott Lane closed; START and school buses rerouted all day. Drivers were warned at 06:23 (TG 1820) and the closure was confirmed with signs up by 07:16; riders were redirected to Albertsons and school stops at the Grove/Powderhorn moved to "810 West" (TG 1812). A supervisor said at 16:52 the detour stays in place because work "is going to be going on for three days"; at 17:35 the road appeared briefly open but the detour was kept in effect.
  • Hit-and-run collision reported at the high school. At 12:34 a unit opened a hit-and-run case on TG 1801; at 12:57 the officer ran what was described as the suspect vehicle, a black Chevy truck on a Wyoming veterans plate [suspect], and at 13:02 the victim vehicle, a locally registered BMW. No disposition aired.
  • Open 911 line with a woman screaming, North Pass Ranch Road. At 17:10 two units (2265, 2273) were sent to a RapidSOS hit on an open 911 line with a female screaming for someone "to leave it alone and go away," male voice yelling in the background. No outcome was broadcast.
  • SUV driving on the WY-22 bike path. At 14:29 dispatch relayed an all-units complaint of a small SUV eastbound on the pathway from Indian Springs. At 14:47 a unit located a silver Jeep parked at Tribal Trails; by 14:56 the driver — described as a foreign driver — was warned and the call cleared as a motorist assist.
  • Fall with transport, West Homestead Circle. At 06:38 Medic 60 and Engine 61 responded for an 84-year-old man, conscious and breathing, who fell in a bathroom after a loss of consciousness; transport to St. John's began 06:55, arrived 07:13, unit back in service 07:48.
  • Mystery idling Audi solved. A Q7 reported at 19:14 as running all day near Clubhouse Drive/Hollyhock condos turned out to have been left running at 10:00 by an owner flying to Connecticut; a deputy shut it off at the husband's request by 19:33.

Also on the air

A steady patrol day: roughly 43 plate checks and 21 records checks, 9 logged traffic stops (mostly verbal/written warnings along WY-22, US-89 and in town), overnight parking-lot checks on North Cache and the east/west lots (02:27–02:55), and jail/court transports including a round trip to what sounds like Swan Valley [suspect]. Three other minor crashes: a no-injury RAV4/Camry collision at N. Jackson & W. Broadway (07:58), a parking-lot collision at REI (11:02), and a vehicle-versus-"Lyft" — possibly a lift — on East Pearl Avenue (13:42). Parking complaints on Snow King Drive and East Pearl were worked to resolution; a theft report at what is likely Ace Hardware (08:47); a moose stood next to the West Bank Center bus stop by the bakery (11:26); a bus broke down near the Broadway/22 sand pit (16:47) and was moved to the truck arrestor to await a mechanic; a BOLO for a black Tesla Model Y Uber that left the airport with a passenger's belongings resolved by 20:07; a trespass call at the Cowboy (21:04) and a bar-area disturbance at The Verge (22:18) rounded out the evening.

By the numbers

  • 1,863 transmissions across 510 exchanges (223 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
  • Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch (1,118), then TG 1812 (264) and TG 1820 START transit (200).
  • Busiest hour: 08:00 (174 transmissions); secondary peaks at 07:00 (144), 14:00 (152) and 21:00 (150).
  • Categories: status 196, unclassified 168, plate-check 43, medical 23, transit 22, records-check 21, traffic-stop 9, animal 7, crash 5, traffic-complaint 3, welfare 3, fire 2, noise-parking 2, 911-open-line 2, plus single alarm/hazard/domestic/suspicious entries.

Caveats

  • TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander/Riverton/Dubois), not Teton traffic — this includes the Dubois/Crowheart fire-alarm pages (08:54) and a multiple-patient EMS page on Highway 789 at 20:06. TG 109 and most TG 6386 traffic is statewide WHP; the I-80 complaints are Sweetwater/Uinta county events.
  • Machine transcription is rough today: many names, plates and some road names ("Fletch Drive," "Swine Valley," "Ace Harbor," vehicle vs. "Lyft") are likely garbled; lines marked [suspect] are low-confidence and dispositions for several calls never aired.
  • Almost no traffic logged 01:00–04:00 (0–2 transmissions some hours), which may reflect a quiet night or a receive gap.
