Top stories
Domestic disturbance ends in arrest south of Jackson. At 20:30 dispatch sent multiple units to a residence on what was transcribed as "Melody Branch Drive" [suspect — likely the Melody Ranch area] after a juvenile caller reported his father would not let him and his mother leave. Updates on TG 1801 noted prior domestic history at the address, firearms secured in a safe, and audible screaming on the line as the call escalated. A 10-95 (in custody) was logged around 20:56, a unit began transport of one adult male to the jail at 21:07 (consistent with this call), and an officer was asked to photograph injuries at 21:08.
Inmate head injury at the county jail. At 10:03 Medic 10 and Engine 11 were paged to the TCSO jail for an inmate fall with a head injury (TG 1807/1801). Transport to St. John's began at 10:49, arriving 10:53; units back available 11:12.
Man collapsed in Spring Gulch Road parking lot. At 08:04 Medic 10 responded for an 80-year-old male who collapsed in a parking lot near the golf-and-tennis maintenance building on Spring Gulch Road. He was awake and breathing but reported combative with the caller. Transport to St. John's at 08:29, arrived 08:45; units clear by 11:12.
Milling work snarled US-89/191 through Hoback/Snake River Canyon. START drivers reported 28–53 minute delays at a standstill between Astoria and Hoback from about 17:31, with single-lane flagger control past Astoria; traffic finally opened around 18:01 (TG 1820). A driver noted the milling project is expected to run roughly three more weeks. Separately, curb/concrete work at Millward–Broadway–Deloney–Pearl forced bus detours all day.
Medic call at Aspen Market in Wilson. At 17:43 Medic 60 was paged to the market on West Lake Creek Drive for a 15-year-old female with a facial laceration, possibly an older injury. Law enforcement backup was requested at 17:50 and cancelled by the medic at 17:57; patient status not further logged.
Three driving complaints on WY-22. 09:36 — white Jeep westbound from Skyline, reportedly texting and swerving (WHP advised). 10:51 — semi tractor eastbound at MM 16 at 75–80 mph passing on a double yellow; updated at 11:02 as having picked up a trailer and turned back westbound toward the state line. 20:14 — older Jeep with Idaho plates westbound, weaving, possibly intoxicated; rebroadcast to WHP on WyoLink at 20:16. WYDOT also flagged two overweight trucks (76,673 and 74,974 lbs) crossing Teton Pass at 09:18.
Also on the air
A steady enforcement day: roughly 16 plate checks and 21 records checks, with at least eight traffic stops cleared by verbal or written warnings (mostly speed), including a morning school-zone detail on Middle School Road. Routine texture included a dead-battery motorist assist at Teton Village (01:01), a parking complaint on Scott Lane, an illegal-camping check at a town park with abandoned property hauled to City Shops, a trespass follow-up on Munger Mountain Road, extra-patrol and civil-paper requests, and a large bag removed from the US-89 northbound lane near the transfer station (15:35, deputy plus WYDOT maintenance). Animal traffic: a reported grizzly near an overnight alarm call (03:41), tourists within ten feet of bison at Elk Flats (07:51, park notified), a "moose jam" on the park road that amused the bus fleet, and a bear sighting on South Park Loop Road already known to Game & Fish. START and school-bus channels handled radio checks, construction detours, two buses with check-engine/coolant warnings (one swapped out near Stilson), and a student returned after boarding the wrong bus.
By the numbers
- 1,624 transmissions across 500 exchanges (225 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
- Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch, 1,072 transmissions; then START transit (181), TG 1812 (138), Fire/EMS (86).
- Busiest hour: 08:00–09:00 with 144 transmissions; 20:00 (121), 07:00 and 17:00 (118 each) close behind.
- Categories: status 203, unclassified 156, medical 41, records-check 21, transit 17, plate-check 16, traffic-complaint 10, traffic-stop 9, animal 9, suspicious 7, alarm 3, fire 3, crash 2 (both minor/non-reportable), plus single noise-parking, open-line and hazard calls.
Caveats
- Not all of this is Teton County. TG 13751 (49 transmissions, ~15 medical pages) is Fremont County EMS paging for Lander/Riverton. TG 109 is statewide WHP — its I-80 complaints and an 08:43 wrong-way driver report were Evanston/Rock Springs/Lyman traffic. TG 1404 is Afton/Lincoln County, and the 13:59 moose-rescue (object removed from a moose at Boyd Skinner Park) on TG 6403 appears to be Pinedale-area Game & Fish.
- Transcription quality is rough. Road names like "Melody Branch Drive," "Bar B Bar River Road," "North Prince Place" and the 12:15 panic-alarm street are best guesses; unit numbers and phonetically spelled names are unreliable, and [suspect] lines are low-confidence. The 00:11 disabled vehicle and 01:01 Teton Village battery call appear to be the same vehicle per dispatch.
- Several calls have no logged outcome — the 16:17 residential fire alarm (Engine 11), the 17:56 agitated man near the high school's west entrance, and the final status of the Wilson medical call all drop out of the transcript.
