Also on the air
A steady patrol day on TG 1801: roughly 31 plate checks and 32 records checks, seven logged traffic stops ending in warnings or citations, and an early-morning arrest — one adult male taken to jail after field sobriety tests at Willow and Deloney around 00:30, with implied consent refused and a blood draw at St. John's (02:15). Two bank alarms (Bank of Jackson Hole downtown at 08:34 and the Wilson branch ATM at 09:17) were both canceled — the second was technicians servicing the ATM. Other texture: a commercial duress alarm on Teton Avenue cleared unfounded (00:11), several vehicles claiming to be Ubers parked at the Wells Fargo lot (01:24), a fraud walk-in at the PD lobby (14:57), a false medical alarm on South Lake Creek Drive (16:57), a fall with possible wrist/knee injury on South King Street (18:38), kids knocking on doors and scootering off in the Wildflower Court/Cottonwood area (20:22, juveniles later released to parents), an open-door check on Virginia Lane (21:43), and a Teton Village party noise complaint (22:17). START (TG 1820) and school-bus channels (TG 1812/245) ran routine transfers, detours around a broken-down trailer near Deloney and Willow, and student-pickup logistics; Medic 20 shuttled a medical flight crew and patient between the airport and St. John's through the morning.
By the numbers
- 2,082 transmissions across 607 exchanges (plus 292 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
- Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch (1,226 transmissions); busiest hour: 14:00–15:00 (258).
- Categories: medical 36, records-check 32, plate-check 31, transit 20, traffic-complaint 15, crash 8, traffic-stop 7, fire 6, animal 5, alarm 2, suspicious 1, domestic 1, hazard 1 (plus 210 status and 232 unclassified).
Caveats
- Significant non-Teton traffic in today's log: TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander/Riverton — including a cardiac arrest, two overdoses and two PI-accident pages), TG 109 is statewide WHP, and much of TG 6386/113 traffic concerned I-80, Rock Springs and Evanston incidents (Mustang vs. cow on US-191 south, a FedEx semi off the road after the driver blacked out). These are excluded from the Teton incident log below.
- Zero transmissions logged 03:00–04:00 and near-silence 04:00–06:00 — plausibly a quiet overnight, but a receiver gap can't be ruled out.
- Whisper transcription garbled many unit numbers, names and phonetic plate reads; TG 1812 and TG 245 appear to be school-bus operations channels but are unconfirmed. Lines marked [suspect] and several outcome reports (e.g., the 12:44 US-89 Dodge-vs-semi crash, the PCS citation at 21:05) are low-confidence.
