Also on the air

A steady traffic day: 31 plate checks and 21 records checks, five traffic stops (mostly verbal warnings for speed, one open-container warning at 00:58, one cite for no driver's license at 15:40), and a stream of driving complaints — motorcycles passing on double yellows on WY-22 (12:12), a swerving 4Runner on US-89 (13:08, no impaired driver found), a swerving vehicle near Dairy Queen (17:15, GOA), an aggressive tailgater on the WY-22 Snake River bridge (19:01), and a possible impaired driver near Middle School Road (20:48, UTL). Motorist assists included a cargo van blocking eastbound WY-22 near MM 14 (09:51, out of the roadway by 11:24), a UTV that lost a wheel on Lower Gros Ventre Road near the old Kelly store, and two separate vehicles stuck in the town parking garage. Alarms all checked secure (four burglar, two residential fire). A moose jam backed up traffic past the airport at 18:01. One court arrest went to the jail at 10:41, a hit-and-run was reported on Gregory Lane at 12:16, and a theft report at a local fitness club at 17:52. START and school buses ran routine traffic — full buses, winter-fare questions, and a couple of kids held aboard when no parent was at the stop.

By the numbers

  • 2,072 transmissions across 597 exchanges (269 short status-only exchanges omitted from the log).
  • Busiest talkgroup: TG 1801 Teton County law dispatch, 1,293 transmissions (62%); then TG 1807 Fire/EMS (322), TG 1812 (124), TG 1820 START (122).
  • Busiest hour: 11:00–12:00 with 241 transmissions (the Teton Village stroke); quietest: 23:00 with 24.
  • Categories: status 209, unclassified 202, medical 56, plate-check 31, records-check 21, transit 16, traffic-complaint 15, animal 10, fire 9, traffic-stop 5, welfare 5, crash 5, noise-parking 5, plus scattered suspicious, hazard, alarm, warrant and 911 traffic.

Caveats

  • TG 13751 is Fremont County (Lander) EMS paging and TG 109 is statewide WHP — the Lander medical calls, Lost Cabin Road smoke investigations, the Highway 26 MM 98 injury crash, and the I-80 complaints out of Rock Springs are not Teton County incidents and are excluded from the log below.
  • TG 1812 is unidentified; its traffic (124 transmissions) is consistent with school-bus operations, not public safety.
  • Whisper transcription is rough today: the 05:49 crash location, several road names ("West Neate Road," "W 78th Road"), and the sedative name in the 18:56 overdose call are garbled; unit numbers and plates throughout should be treated as unreliable.
