Also on the air

A heavy plate-check/records day: 33 plate checks and 18 records checks, mostly TG 1801, concentrated on Ski Hill Road/Teton Canyon, WY-22, Spring Gulch and South 89, with 5 logged traffic stops (mix of verbal warnings and citations). Other texture: a 21:35 reckless-driver broadcast for a dark dually eastbound WY-22 from mm 13 that nearly hit the guardrail — WHP 100 and deputies converged and identified a gray GMC Denali dually through Wilson by 21:45, no arrest aired; a 19:42 welfare check for an elderly man at the fog line on WY-22 holding a "Wilson" sign; a 10:42 motorist-assist broadcast for an elderly couple with a coolant leak at US-89 mm 150 (deputy searched to Game Creek, gone on arrival by 11:51); a complaint about ~10 middle-schoolers on e-bikes riding into oncoming traffic on Snow King Avenue (13:15); an Express Lube disturbance with a man striking a window and fleeing in a green Jeep (15:54); a Teton Village burglar alarm canceled as housekeeping (08:33); vehicle-vs-elk (06:17), bears near Teton Pines and a bear in pigs/chickens at Swift Creek (Game & Fish, 14:59/17:54); moose jams on Village Road for START drivers (18:35, 19:18); START mechanical gripes (false low-fuel light, dead A/C, a bus with seizing steering); and Teton County SAR's Rescue 22 helicopter flying a mid-afternoon mission from Snow King (15:02–17:13).

Caveats

  • Not all logged traffic is Teton County: TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (~15 pages, Lander/Riverton, incl. a 22:12 lightning-strike page at a Shoshoni school), and TG 109 statewide WHP traffic was almost entirely I-80/Rock Springs–Evanston complaints. An 11:24 stolen-vehicle/runaway broadcast was out of Riverton.
  • Whisper transcription is rough tonight: unit numbers, road names ("Neate Road," "Tash Street," "Lucan Meadows") and several outcomes are garbled; the park ranger blood-draw thread, the 20:49 WY-22 custody with WHP, and TG 6586 traffic about opening a closure gate in Hoback Canyon (~06:08–06:45, one lane reported open) are low-confidence and may be misheard or out-of-county.
  • 177 exchanges were unclassifiable; some routine items above may be under- or miscounted.
