Rollover off Shadow Mountain forest road injures two; fire, EMS and Park Service rangers respond

• Single-vehicle rollover on the Shadow Mountain forest road; two with minor injuries. Dispatch (TG 1801) took the report at about 16:37 from a passerby, south of Lost Creek Ranch off the Forest Service road to Shadow Mountain, and paged Battalion 6, Engine 401, Rescue 44, Medic 10 and Medic 60 at 16:39 on TG 1807. First information was "no injuries, occupants out," but crews were started on mechanism; the vehicle was later described as roughly 20–30 yards down the hill on its roof. A captain reported on scene at 17:09 with two stable patients with minor injuries from airbag deployment. Grand Teton NP sent Medic 1 and a ranger; Medic 60 was stood down, Medic 10 staged at the Shadow Mountain campground and cleared at 17:26, and Rescue 44 stayed until the ambulance turned around. Park Medic 1 transported both patients. Recovery was set for first light the next morning, confirmed with park dispatch.

• SAR helicopter flew a lift job for WYDOT near Glory on Highway 22. At 12:24 a rescue unit (TG 1814) told Jackson dispatch it was lifting from the turnaround on Highway 22 to work a WYDOT lift near Glory, operating on a SAR tactical channel. It reported back at the hangar at 13:35. No injuries or incident traffic were associated with the flight.

• Two hit-and-run crashes reported, hours apart. At 06:23 a Jackson unit ran a plate on what it called a hit-and-run collision and asked whether Public Works could clear debris at "the five-way" [suspect]. At 15:54 dispatch sent a unit to a hit-and-run at the Y, with the reporting party and suspect vehicle still westbound on Highway 22; dispatch said it had a good registration match with a name, phone and address. A unit asked to be reassigned to that case for follow-up at 18:10. A separate non-injury collision at Powderhorn and Maple was reported at 14:25 with both parties already gone.

• Two structure fire alarms, both false. At 09:53 Engine 71 was paged to a residential fire alarm on South Little Horse Thief Lane; crews found nothing showing and a duty chief cancelled at 10:11 after the reporting party said it was steam from a shower. At 11:24 Engine 11 was paged for a gas-detection alarm in a garage mechanical room on East Avalanche Canyon Drive; at 11:39 the chief reported a snow blower running next to the mechanical room and stood the response down.

• Two-car non-injury crash near Spring Creek and a reported collision near Teton Village. At 17:30 dispatch started a unit toward Spring Creek for a non-injury crash between a blue Prius and a white Subaru, partially blocking. Separately at 17:28 a school-bus driver (TG 1812) reported a car crossing in front of the bus near the Phillips 66 and striking another vehicle headed to Teton Village, said both parties appeared OK, and offered onboard camera footage. No follow-up on the second was heard on the monitored talkgroups.

• Unaccounted-for students drove a long bus-channel search in the afternoon. From about 15:25 to 15:55, dispatch and multiple buses on TG 1812 polled route after route for two children whose rides home didn't match; law dispatch (TG 1801) ran address checks, and at 15:45 a deputy reported contact with the parents at the residence. Both appear to have been resolved without incident; one child was confirmed to have walked home with a neighbor.

Routine texture was heavy on traffic enforcement: 63 plate/registration checks and 22 records checks, most of them WYDOT/highway units working US-89 between roughly mileposts 138 and 160 and Wyoming 22, plus county units on South 89 at Wilson, Adams Canyon, the South Park boat ramp and Horse Creek. Outcomes heard on air were warnings — speed, move-over, "bucking horses" — and one citation for no driver's licence, with the driver left waiting on the shoulder for a licensed driver. Overnight, Jackson units handled an intoxicated pedestrian near the Virginian around 01:00 who couldn't safely walk home, followed by a jail transport and a hospital run. Other calls: an illegal-camping complaint in an occupied garage off South Park Loop at 08:29 with a reported biohazard; a commercial burglar alarm at a restaurant on North Millward at 12:00, checked inside and cleared as unknown cause; a destruction-of-property case at Teton Village with resort security at 10:52; two men yelling at each other near the bus barn/auto tech area at 15:24, resolved by 15:30; an alarm at the SAR facility at 18:53 that turned out to be SAR members on site; parking complaints at Gros Ventre and Pearl (a van parked over a month) and Cache Creek Drive at Redmond (a trailer parked over a week); an abandoned vehicle with five outstanding citations towed to the county impound yard around 15:00; an abandoned-vehicle report at Grand Targhee at 19:11; a motorist assist south of Alpine Junction at 06:38; a parking-garage motorist assist at 16:22; debris cleared from Highway 22 at Coal Creek Canyon [suspect] at 16:45 ("a bunch of wood with nails"); and a wallet holding a large amount of cash found by a START driver and turned in at the PD at 23:24. START and school-bus channels also worked around a Broadway closure/detour, construction backup at St. John's, an ambulance blocking the layover at Miller Park, and a blinking signal at High School Road and Broadway; one bus was limping back to the shop stuck in first gear.

Caveats

• A large share of today's audio is not Teton County. TG 13751 is Lander/Fremont County EMS paging (102 transmissions — medic pages, a Highway 26 injury crash at milepost 124, a birth in a vehicle en route to Lander); TG 109 statewide WHP and much of TG 6386/6382 carry Rock Springs, Green River, Evanston and I-80 traffic. TG 113 mutual aid today was largely Fremont County. Counts in the stats block include all of it.
• TG 6386 and TG 6382 appear to be carrying the same traffic in parallel — many exchanges are duplicated verbatim, so transmission counts on those talkgroups are inflated. TG 1812 and TG 20273 are unidentified school-transportation channels; TG 1812 clearly references Jackson locations, but TG 20273's road names (Hutchinson, Alaska Road) do not match Teton County and it may be another district entirely.
• Transcription quality is poor on unit numbers, plates and road names throughout — callsigns shift between forms ("2237"/"20-37"/"2037"), and several locations below are best guesses. Anything marked [suspect] should be checked before publication, and none of the plate or registration detail heard on air has been reproduced here.
