Jackson council to vote on narrowing an open-space easement in Simpson Acres

Jackson Town Council is set to vote Monday, Sept. 28 on a small but lasting edit to an open-space easement tied to the Simpson Acres Addition. The change would keep the subdivision’s required 30-foot open-space area, but remove a separate clause that lets the original declarant grant “additional easements … for any purpose” without coming back to the Town for approval. The amendment is listed on the consent calendar as a standard contract item meeting agenda.

Town staff say the owners are asking to vacate that extra easement-granting right and that Planning and Building has no objection.
