Portable battery explodes in Jackson hotel guest's hand; one taken to St. John's with burns

• Battery explosion burns hotel guest at Spring Hill Suites. At 10:21, Medic 10 and Engine 11 (TG 1807) were paged to the hotel for a guest — reported as a 46-year-old woman — whose portable battery blew up in her hand; the small fire was already out. Crews ventilated part of the building ("Division 2"), Medic 10 transported to St. John's at 10:41, and all units cleared by about 11:10.
• Traffic signals dark at WY-22/Spring Gulch. At 14:56 dispatch reported all lights out at the intersection with traffic already backed up; WYDOT and Highway Patrol were asked for traffic control and a trooper was started at 14:59. A unit reported the light working again at 15:46. Buses (TG 1820/1812) reported town-wide gridlock through the afternoon — Broadway at a standstill, Snow King Ave backed up, WY-22 crawling toward Wilson.
• Two tour vans collide at Village Road and WY-390 — 31 kids aboard, no injuries reported. Reported at 13:37 in the merge lane off Village Road; both vans belonged to the same party, which was allowed to return passengers to their hostel while a deputy handled the report.
• Trailer brakes catch fire coming off Teton Pass. At 14:48 a unit near Wilson reported an Iowa-plated trailer whose brakes had been smoking "since he came off the top"; at 14:50 the unit reported a fire on the power unit that officers put out themselves, declining a fire response.
• Two people freed from stuck elevator on Snow King Loop. Medic 10 and Engine 11 paged at 20:06 to a unit off Snow King Loop for two people stuck near the second floor; both were out by 20:15, no transport noted.
• Late-night medical/warrant call downtown. From 23:35 units checked an intoxicated man behind the Alpine Motel, then located a man at the county administration building on Willow; medics were requested at 23:46 and he was transported to the hospital. Dispatch reported a possible out-of-state warrant match (non-extraditable); no arrest was made.

START and school transit logged two check-engine-light bus swaps, a briefly missed student stop (parent drove the child), and a car blocking a Pearl-area bus stop.

• Significant non-Teton traffic in today's capture: TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging (Lander/Riverton, 48 transmissions), TG 109/113 are statewide WHP/mutual-aid broadcasts (reckless-driver reports near Dubois and on I-80, livestock calls), and TG 1404 appears to be Lincoln County (Afton/Star Valley) sheriff traffic. None of these are Jackson-area incidents.
• Whisper transcription is rough today — the hotel appears variously as "Spring Heel Squeeze"/"Springfield," and several road names, unit numbers and addresses (e.g., "West John Dodge Road," "Blue Dun/Blue Den Lane") are uncertain; entries below marked [suspect] where confidence is low.
