Commissioners to weigh $56,195 contract for pathway bridge inspections

Teton County commissioners are set to vote on a $56,195.52 contract with Engineering Operations, LLC to inspect 10 standalone bridges on the Jackson Hole Community Pathway System, work the county says it needs for public safety and to build an ongoing maintenance and replacement plan. The inspections would cover two large concrete bridges (including the Snake River pathway bridge at WY 22) and eight smaller wooden bridges, with reports due within 90 days after the inspections are completed, according to the county’s staff report Contract for Professional Services for Pathway Bridge Inspections.

County Engineer Amy Ramage is recommending a sole-source award, saying Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) does not inspect standalone pathway bridges and that Engineering Operations is already in Teton County doing bridge inspections for WYDOT. Staff say the inspection work is budgeted in the FY2027 Public Works and Pathways professional services line, and that the WY-22 Snake River bridge inspection would be split across two bridge maintenance accounts reserved for that structure Engineering Operations Services Agreement Packet.
