Planning Commission must hear 90-day manmade waterbody freeze within 30 days

Teton County is putting the Planning Commission on a 30-day clock to hold a public hearing on whether to recommend a temporary freeze on manmade waterbodies Manmade Waterbody 90 Day Freeze Resolution. The resolution says the commission must review the proposed freeze and give its recommendation before the Board of County Commissioners takes up the question.

The county says the hearing must be noticed in a newspaper of general circulation at least 30 days ahead of time, and the board would then hold its own hearing at least 14 days after notice. The resolution also says the county is working on new manmade waterbody rules, so this hearing is the first formal checkpoint before any longer freeze can move ahead.
