Commissioners to ask WYDOT for direct sale of Hoback fire station parcel

Teton County’s Board of County Commissioners is set to ask the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to start the appraisal and site evaluation needed for a direct sale of the state-owned Hoback Junction parcel for a new fire station letter to WYDOT on Hoback Parcel.

The letter notes the Wyoming Transportation Commission previously declined a “direct relinquishment,” and that the county now intends to pursue a negotiated direct sale (or possibly a land exchange) instead. For folks who live and work down valley, the thing to watch is the valuation and terms that come out of WYDOT’s appraisal process, because as of this meeting there is still no set price tag or build timeline tied to the site.
