90 Virginian Lane lease would lock in 200 deed-restricted homes

The Jackson/Teton County Housing Authority is still negotiating the ground lease for 90 Virginian Lane, and the deal is built around at least 200 permanently deed-restricted homes on the 5.15-acre Midtown site Housing Supply Plan Staff Report and Data Metrics Packet. The packet says the land is already under Housing Authority control, the developer was picked through a Request for Proposals process, and the split is set at 30% ownership and 70% rental, with a senior preference for 10% of the homes.

That matters because this is the county's biggest all deed-restricted housing project to date, and the plan still puts groundbreaking in 2026. The staff report says the timing could slip if global markets or funding gaps get in the way, but the county is still treating 90 Virginian Lane as a major piece of the local housing pipeline.
