Officer-safety alert for driver who allegedly pointed handgun near state line; suspect later contacted

• ATL for gun-brandishing driver relayed to all Teton units. At 09:05 dispatch broadcast an attempt-to-locate from Lincoln County: the driver of a white 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee reportedly pulled and cocked a silver handgun and pointed it at another motorist near the Idaho state line earlier in the day. Flagged as officer-safety (CFS 3838). At 11:44 a Lincoln County deputy advised they had contacted the suspect; the local ATL was cancelled.
• Man with a bat reportedly chased at base of Snow King as the log closed. At 23:58 units 778 and 769 were sent to East Snow King Avenue for a report of a male being chased, armed with a bat, at the ski lift base; dispatch said he was likely the same man from a 23:32 mental-health welfare check on East Snow King Avenue (that earlier contact ended code-4 at 23:40). Units were still en route at the end of the log — outcome unknown.
• Rock thrown through the Blue Lion's front window. At 21:34 a man and woman reportedly left the restaurant and threw a rock through the window; another table told the RP the woman might be at risk of domestic violence. Town units searched, last seen north on Millward; suspect description was refined through 22:08. No arrest appears in the log.
• Park ambulance assist to Lupine Meadows. At 16:16 Grand Teton NP requested an ambulance for a 32-year-old male with a knee injury; Medic 20 responded to the Lupine Meadows rescue cache (arrived ~16:57), clear by 18:36. Sheriff's helicopter Rescue 22 also flew to Lupine Meadows at 14:41 and was back at the Star hangar by 17:54.
• Vehicle fire page on Broadway stood down. At 17:06 Engine 11 and Battalion 1 were paged for a vehicle fire at the Shell station on Broadway; on-scene units found only light steam from a radiator on a white GMC that bystanders had pushed into the lot. No fire response needed (17:09).
• First day of school kept bus channels jammed. The school-bus talkgroup (TG 1812, unlabeled) ran continuously from ~07:13; the 14:00–16:00 spike was largely drivers and dispatch sorting out roughly a half-dozen young students on wrong buses or with no parent at their stop — all appear to have been located and reunited or returned to the bus barn by ~16:14. One driver also reported a red-light violation by a car at the fairgrounds stop at 15:31 (to be reviewed on camera).

A busy but routine day otherwise: 47 medical exchanges (many are Fremont County pages — see caveats), including a Charlie-response for an 82-year-old man at a West Cody Lane residence (07:55, transported to St. John's) and an 89-year-old man on Moulton Loop Road (16:46, transported). Livestock kept deputies moving on Spring Gulch Road — a loose horse reported overnight and again ~06:33 was never located; a cow was on the road there at 11:46. Other texture: branches blown from a landscaping truck on South US-89 (07:41, driver warned, debris cleared), a reported 20–30-gallon sewage spill at WY-22/WY-390 (10:09), three RVs blocking Virginian Lane (13:24), two minor parking-lot collisions (Wilson Hardware 13:45; Smith's 16:27), a found dog on East Pearl (owner arrived), a possible stolen/lost bank bag of cash at the post office (14:30), welfare checks, ~43 plate checks, and a steady stream of WHP statewide traffic complaints, mostly on I-80 far from Teton County. START transit swapped one bus out of service for an air-system failure (16:02) and flagged a possible fuel leak on another (17:49).

Caveats

• TG 13751 is Fremont County (Lander/Riverton) EMS paging, not Teton traffic — that includes a PI crash near Kinnear (15:00) and a grass fire threatening structures near Trout Creek Road (21:58). TG 109 and much of TG 6386 are statewide WHP relays, mostly I-80/Green River-area complaints.
• Whisper garbling is heavy today: unit numbers, several road names ("Rosnab," "Garnet Coast," "Lucas River Ridge") and most names are unreliable, and lines marked [suspect] are low-confidence. TG 1812 is unlabeled but is clearly school-district bus dispatch.
• The 23:58 Snow King bat call and the Blue Lion vandalism search both end without a logged resolution; overnight dispositions are unknown.
