County commissioners approve $140,000 Justice Center architect fee

Teton County commissioners approved Additional Services Request ASR-010 for Anderson Mason Dale Architects, a $140,000 contract amendment for the Justice Center project. The staff report says the extra fee covers extended construction administration after the project picked up a third courtroom, a multi-functional Municipal Court and jury assembly space, a Victims Services suite, and a small jail administrative suite with staff locker rooms. The county says the added work comes out of the Justice Center owner’s contingency budget, not a bigger overall project budget. The report ties the request to a construction timeline that now runs from February 2026 through November 2028, about 17 weeks longer than originally planned. That is the kind of change workers notice when a public project grows but the county tries to keep the sticker price flat.
