County to vote on $2.25 million for Wilson Sewer District Phase 4

Teton County commissioners are set to decide Tuesday whether to approve a resolution allocating $2.25 million from the 2022 Water Quality Special Purpose Excise Tax (SPET) to Wilson Sewer District Phase 4, after the district first sought $3.31 million and staff earlier presented a $2 million recommendation. The Sept. 1 staff report says the allocation would leave $1,614,453 unallocated in the 2022 water quality SPET account staff report and resolution.

The procedural turn to watch is whether commissioners accept the negotiated figure now embedded in the resolution. Staff describe the item as a formal allocation, with the county providing money as the sales tax is collected and returning later with recommendations for the remaining unallocated balance.
