CPR at top of Bridger Gondola: multi-agency response to Teton Village cardiac arrest

• Cardiac arrest at the Mountain Bistro, top of the Bridger Gondola (15:27). Page for CPR in progress at Teton Village; Medic 60, Engine 21, Battalion 1, Teton Village Fire and MD-1 staged at the gondola base while a ski-clinic responder rode up (TG 1807/1808). Patient was handed off to medics by 16:00; sheriff's units and victim services were asked to rendezvous at the Teton Village Clinic at 16:31, and command terminated at 16:53. Patient condition was not stated on air.
• Gas line struck at the C-Bar-V school, North Wilderness Drive (14:49). Battalion 1, Engines 21 and 61 and Support 69 responded after a backhoe hit a gas line; crews reported explosive limits at 15:01, shut off the main line by 15:03, ventilated, and turned the scene over to Lower Valley Energy at 15:17. No injuries reported on air.
• Vehicle vs. pedestrian, S Millward & W Broadway (08:38). Battalion 1, Engine 11 and Medic 10 responded to a collision with injury; an e-bike was involved. The patient was alert, reported hitting her head but said she was okay; Medic 10 cleared on a patient refusal at 09:02.
• Evening hit-and-run report, then one taken to jail after a stop (21:15–23:11). An RP followed an SUV with Colorado plates from W Broadway/Virginian Lane to the Lodge at Jackson Hole and then the Hampton Inn; officers found no significant damage on the RP's vehicle and cleared with notes at 21:31. Separately, a 22:10 stop at S US-89/South Park Loop (Maverik lot) led to field sobriety tests, a K9 request, a vehicle search, one person transported to jail at 22:56, and a consent blood draw arranged at St. John's at 23:09 — consistent with an impaired-driving investigation, though no charge was stated on air.
• Brief US-89 northbound shutdown requested, then cancelled (18:04). Grand Teton National Park asked WYDOT to close US-89 northbound from Jackson to Gros Ventre Junction for a medical emergency transport (TG 6382); a deputy started north but the request was cancelled by 18:11.
• State records system down most of the day. Dispatchers on TG 1801 and WYDOT channels repeatedly reported "all files down" (described as a CTI issue) from at least 04:55 into the afternoon, leaving officers unable to get returns on plates, licenses and VINs.

A busy but routine day otherwise: multiple medical calls including a fall at the Pioneer Homestead apartments (Medic 10 to St. John's, 11:53–12:16), a lift assist for an 89-year-old (14:42), and a confused 64-year-old on W Highway 22 transported at 21:20. A welfare check on Corner Creek Lane (11:29), illegal camping and parking complaints (Target lot at 00:31), a shoplifting report at Napa, a destruction-of-property report on High Country Drive, a dog at large on the Town Square (GOA), and a construction-noise complaint at E Pearl/S Willow. WYDOT broadcast several overweight (WIMS) Teton Pass crossings — one at 111,775 lbs was stopped on WY-22 at 11:35 — and WHP ran a commercial-vehicle weighing detail at the WY-22 scale house from 15:11. START traffic included navigation/AVL glitches, a fuel-cap check, deer warnings on South Park Loop Road, and a passed-out intoxicated rider met by police at Maple Way (23:30). A school-bus channel spent 15:32–15:37 locating a student, who was found safe. An accidental radio distress activation (bumped on a ladder) was resolved at 11:26.

Caveats

• Much of the TG 6386/6382 and TG 109 traffic is Sweetwater/Uinta County I-80 activity (Rock Springs, Green River, Evanston — including a tanker rollover on Business 80 at ~13:15), and TG 13751 is Fremont County EMS paging; these are excluded from the incident log below. TG 20273 appears to be a school-bus fleet, and TGs 172/173/1814 are unidentified locals.
• Whisper transcription is unreliable today: unit numbers, road names ("Redtail, Halt Lane," "South Henry's Road") and several whole lines are garbled, and the model inserted obvious hallucinations (closed-captioning credits). Treat all names of roads and units as approximate.
• A 20:20 transmission referenced a unit clearing "en route to the morgue" with no on-air context; it is unclear whether this relates to the Teton Village cardiac arrest or anything else in the log.
