Council workshop to tee up Land Development Regulation limits on large projects

Jackson’s Town Council is set to spend an hour at its Aug. 17 workshop discussing Land Development Regulation changes intended to better account for the impacts of large developments, with staff seeking direction rather than a vote at this meeting workshop agenda.

The item, listed as “Land Development Regulations Changes to Address Large Development Impacts (PM26-011),” is part of a string of workshops that began last fall and continued this spring as the council wrestles with how to make large projects pay their way and fit Jackson’s long-range vision. The August discussion is expected to touch on permit-fee structure and waiver rules, and it will likely set up ordinance drafts that would return for formal adoption at future regular council meetings.
