Commissioners to vote on $36.3M FAA grant for South Taxiway A rehab

Teton County’s Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 11 is scheduled to approve a resolution accepting an FAA Airport Improvement Program grant agreement, not to exceed $36.3 million, for Phase II construction of the South Taxiway A Rehabilitation Project at Jackson Hole Airport, according to the Airport Commission FAA Grant for Taxiway Rehabilitation agenda packet.

The staff report says the federal share for the project can be up to 93.75%, and that the final award amount may come in lower because the FAA is still calculating available end of fiscal year funding. The packet also flags new conditions in the 2026 grant language, including a certification that the sponsor does not run certain diversity, equity and inclusion programs that violate federal antidiscrimination laws. The south segment of Taxiway A is “several decades old” and the work would be phased “to reduce impacts to Airport operations,” staff wrote.
