County to weigh $36.3 million taxiway rehabilitation grant

Teton County commissioners are set to consider a Federal Aviation Administration grant for Jackson Hole Airport taxiway rehabilitation on Aug. 11 county agenda. The staff packet says the grant would authorize the Jackson Hole Airport Board to accept up to $36.3 million for Phase II construction on South Taxiway A, though the final award may come in lower after the federal agency counts available end-of-fiscal-year money staff packet.

The airport says the south segment of Taxiway A is several decades old and needs major rehabilitation after testing and analysis. The federal share is listed at 93.75% of eligible costs, with the Airport Board responsible for the balance. This follows earlier taxiway work, including the north Taxiway A rehabilitation finished in 2024, and the project is expected to be phased so airport operations keep moving.
