KHOL's application says the money would "partially cover the operations budget for our KHOL newsroom" and frames the station as year-round community infrastructure serving both residents and visitors through local news, music programming and events KHOL funding application. That $75,000 request matches KHOL's 2025 award, but sits below its $100,000 award in 2024 and above its $50,000 funding in 2026, according to the application and the county's funding history. For a county where tourism money often gets pulled between promotion and community impacts, this is the kind of line-drawing worth watching.
