County Board of Equalization to hear 2025 property tax appeals Aug. 6

Teton County commissioners will sit as the Board of Equalization Thursday morning to hear appeals of 2025 property tax assessments. The hearing is open to the public, but it will not be livestreamed.

If you are one of the people who opened your 2025 property tax notice and thought, “this can’t be right,” the next step is happening Thursday morning. The Teton County commissioners are set to meet as the county’s Board of Equalization at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 6 to hear appeals filed on 2025 property tax assessments, under Wyoming law special meeting agenda.

Two things to know before you take time off work to show up: the county notes the meeting is open to the public, but it “will not be streamed,” and audio recordings are only available by request through the clerk’s office. If you filed an appeal, watch for how the hearing officer runs the process and what evidence the assessor’s office leans on when it defends the valuation.
