Planning Commission to workshop PM26-016 Land Development Regulation update
Jackson’s Planning and Zoning Commission will workshop PM26-016, a biennial Land Development Regulations update aimed at clarifying and tightening a range of standards, before staff brings a full package of 35 to 40 text amendments later this month.
The Town of Jackson Planning and Zoning Commission is set to workshop the PM26-016 Biennial Land Development Regulation (LDR) Update, a package staff says will ultimately include roughly 35 to 40 mostly “cleanup” text amendments, plus a handful of changes that need policy direction before they are finalized agenda packet.
For property owners and small lodging operators, the details to watch are the draft topics on the workshop list, including how the code treats hotel amenity space (and related mitigation like housing or parking), guest parking requirements, tandem parking, snow storage, trash and recycling, landscaping in the right of way, and timing for a Large Building conditional use permit. Staff says this August 5 discussion is meant to collect initial inclinations so they can “finalize the proposal,” with a full presentation and formal recommendation scheduled for the August 19 Planning Commission meeting agenda packet.
