Planning Commission to push back on limits to public input

Teton County’s Planning Commission is set to take up a proposal to change how Land Development Regulations (LDRs) text amendments and zoning map amendments move through the system, and commissioners are already drawing a hard line against any rewrite that trims public input or sidelines the commission’s role in amendments Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes.

In the minutes, commissioners objected to “proposals that would limit public and Planning Commission input or grant the Planning Director excessive gatekeeping authority,” with Chair Ryan Kelly calling out a staff concept that would remove “the Planning Commission and public review process” from parts of the amendment pathway.
