Teton County approved Whitaker Construction’s contract amendment for the Teton Pass Trail, locking in a $5,745,569 construction package for Segments 1 through 3. The county said $3,749,971 of that total is reimbursable through the federal BUILD grant, with $937,493 from the approved FY2027 Fund 37 budget and $1,058,105 in donated philanthropy filling out the deal Commission Meeting Minutes.

This is the big spend that moves the trail from early work into full construction. The staff packet says the amendment covers the trail build between Trail Creek and the Scale Station, after the county already approved early clearing and tree removal work in May. Segments 4 and 5 are still unfunded, and staff are still pursuing a Coal Creek underpass as a future add-on START Board Teton Pass Trail CMAR GMP Contract Amendment Packet.
