Teton County commissioners on July 13 will consider a reciprocal crane agreement with Big Mountain Enterprises that lets the Justice Center construction crane swing over two neighboring private lots for $600 a year while the crane remains on site staff report. For nearby property owners and contractors, it is a reminder that airspace access can turn into a yearly operating cost once a project reaches full buildout.
The county staff report says Big Mountain Enterprises would also get the same right in the future if it builds high enough within the next 25 years to need a crane over county land. Staff describes the contract as nearly identical to the Town of Jackson template for crane swings over public rights of way, and recommends approval at Monday's Board of County Commissioners meeting meeting agenda.
