The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board is set to decide Thursday whether to fund Après Visuals’ $22,378 request tied to its documentary film proposal, "The Long Way Home," centered on the Gros Ventre Wilderness.
The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board is set to decide Thursday whether to award $22,378 to Après Visuals for its documentary proposal, "The Long Way Home," a film built around a 50-mile trail run traverse in the Gros Ventre range. The request comes to the board through its Strategic Partnerships program, which reviews eligible lodging tax-funded proposals on a quarterly cycle. Details are in the application attachment, Après Strategic Partnerships Visuals Attachment.
If the board votes to fund it, members will also have to get comfortable with how the project is framed against the program’s statutory guardrails for travel and tourism promotion, including that funds are dispersed as reimbursements after invoices are submitted. The application says the film is being produced by a Jackson-based company with an all-local crew and is slated for completion in late summer 2026.
