Jackson Hole Nordic Alliance's $50,000 winter trail hub request up Thursday
The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board is set to consider a $50,000 request for the Jackson Hole Nordic Alliance's Winter Trails Information Hub.
The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board will consider a $50,000 request from the Jackson Hole Nordic Alliance for its Winter Trails Information Hub, the free planning tool many skiers, fat bikers, snowshoers and walkers use before choosing a winter route funding application.
For anyone who has shown up to a groomed path and found different conditions than expected, the question is whether lodging-tax money should keep supporting that shared winter-trails layer. The board is not deciding a new trail or plowing a trailhead. It is weighing whether visitor funds should help pay for the information system that points people toward existing winter routes and the rules that come with them.
