Justice Center Wember report flags cost-escalation risk, $3.0M left
County commissioners will review Wember’s monthly Justice Center report July 6, including the push to buy out remaining work within 30 days and a contingency update showing about $2.97M remaining (including pending costs).
A project this big always turns into a question about who pays when prices jump. On Monday, the Board of County Commissioners is set to review Wember’s June update on the Teton County Justice Center, which says DPR Construction and its subcontractors have flagged “Unknown construction escalation costs” and plan to have all work “bought out and contracted” in the next 30 days to try to lock in pricing Wember report.
The same report pegs the overall project budget at $118.5 million and says the project is “currently on budget,” with owner contingency remaining at $2,973,167.72 (including pending costs).
