$118.5M Justice Center budget update heads to commissioners July 6
Commissioners will get a fresh financial snapshot of the $118.5M Teton County Justice Center, including how much is committed and what is left to finish, plus how contingency is being handled after the GMP reset.
County commissioners are set to review a new monthly financial update that pegs the Teton County Justice Center at a total project budget of $118.5 million, including soft costs and contingencies Justice Center monthly update. The report says the budget was reworked after the final Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) was approved Feb. 17, 2026, and that the project is “currently on budget” under the adjusted line items.
The detail worth watching is the spread between budget and actuals. As of the update, the project shows $108,965,294.29 in committed cost, $17,869,722.15 incurred, and $91,095,572.14 balance to finish against the $118,500,000 total. The report also flags the risk of construction escalation and describes a practice of transferring any savings in finalized soft-cost items into contingency, which is where future change orders will be tracked.
