The county is exempting those fees for Fast Track eligible homes (up to 3,000 sq ft), which means less money flowing into affordable housing programs just as demand keeps climbing. County history shows the fee totals from single family homes in the 2,500 to 3,000 sq ft range bounced from about $15,689 (2023) to $86,588 (2025), so this is not a rounding error, even if it is only one slice of the overall housing mitigation picture Fast Track Permits staff report packet.
