Polo Ranches road district to add 4 lots, $3,000 a year in new levies
County commissioners on June 16 are set to vote on enlarging the Polo Ranches Improvement and Service District to add four Cortland Drive homes, bringing them into the $750-per-lot annual levy and expanding the district from 28 to 32 lots.
Teton County commissioners are set to approve enlarging the Polo Ranches Improvement and Service District to add four Flat Creek Fishing Club Subdivision lots (1, 2, 6 and 7) that access Cortland Drive, a road the district maintains. If approved, the district would grow from 28 lots to 32, and the four added properties would begin paying the same $750 annual levy as current members, or $3,000 a year total. meeting agenda
The staff report says the district was created in 1993, but those four homes were built later outside the boundary even though they use Cortland Drive. The petitioners are asking to join “in order to pay their fair share” for maintenance, and the packet says all affected landowners and the district board have signed on, which eliminates the need for a special election. enlargement packet
