Resolution 26-11 would add 2.6% to Jackson fee schedule
Jackson Town Council is set to consider Resolution 26-11, a fee schedule update that would raise current fees by 2.6% and add an estimated $50,000 to $100,000 in revenue.
A 2.6% fee increase would add an estimated $50,000 to $100,000 to Jackson's revenue if the Town Council adopts Resolution 26-11 on June 15. The agenda packet says council directed staff to use the 12-month Consumer Price Index change as of January 2026 for all fees, with the new schedule taking effect July 1.
The clean headline number is not the whole schedule. Staff also proposes moving the Bar and Grill Renewal fee to $10,500, the maximum allowed by statute and a 20% increase over fiscal year 2026. Public Works and Building fees would rise beyond the inflation adjustment to account for administrative time, software, average permit time and costs. Cemetery fees would get a market adjustment, and new electric vehicle charging fees would be added. The building permit methodology change, from square feet to valuation, has been tabled for a later workshop.
