Jackson council to hear START fiscal year 2027 grant update June 15

At its June 15 workshop, the Jackson Town Council will get a 20-minute update from Mike Toronto on START’s FY27 grant, a piece of the broader Teton Mobility Corridor Improvements BUILD program with a Sept. 30, 2027 spending deadline.

Jackson’s transit riders and commuters should tune in June 15: the Town Council is set to hear a 20-minute “START FY27 Grant Update” from Mike Toronto during the workshop workshop agenda.

The agenda does not include dollar figures or project lists, so the useful questions for councilors are basic and practical: what START services or capital purchases the FY27 grant is supposed to cover, what match or local commitments are tied to it, and what deadlines could force decisions this summer. In the background, this grant work sits inside the Teton Mobility Corridor Improvements BUILD program, where the grant-funded work has a hard clock: all BUILD funds must be spent and closed out by Sept. 30, 2027.
