Jackson council to review FY27 long-range planning work plan, indicator dashboard

The Jackson Town Council is set to review the Town Long Range Planning FY27 work plan and the community indicator dashboard at its June 15 workshop, a discussion that helps set which planning projects staff will try to complete over the next fiscal year, and what gets deferred if capacity is tight. Based on prior work plan materials, the FY27 list leans heavily toward nuts-and-bolts code work and implementation tracking: water-quality related Land Development Regulations work, updates to the Planned Residential Development tool, habitat mitigation fee-in-lieu work, Scenic Preserve Trust monitoring, and an administrative package that includes changes to the citizen-initiated zoning and Land Development Regulations process. The indicator dashboard itself was recently modernized, but staff have indicated the underlying key performance indicators are expected to stay the same, so the council discussion is likely to focus on whether the existing metrics still match today’s priorities, and whether the Town and County have the staff and budget to keep the dashboard current year after year.
