$118.5M Justice Center design choices up next: materials review June 10

Jackson’s Design Review Committee will weigh the look and finish of the new Teton County Justice Center at 180 S King Street during a materials review on June 10. This is application P25-183, and it is the committee’s chance to push back on exterior choices that tend to become expensive change orders later if they are revised after submittals are locked. Details are in the meeting agenda.

This is not a small project. Teton County has said the Justice Center is under construction with a total project budget of $118.5 million and a scheduled completion in Fall 2028. If you care about cost control, watch for whether the committee discussion draws a clean line between aesthetics and maintainability, especially anything that drives specialized cladding systems, custom metalwork, or nonstandard glazing that can show up later as “scope clarification.”
