Jackson planners to review 32-unit apartment plan at 750 W Broadway
The Planning and Zoning Commission is set to review a Development Plan for four modular apartment buildings at 750 W Broadway, a 32-unit add-on at the Virginian Lodge that staff says meets Commercial-Residential 3 standards with conditions.
The Planning and Zoning Commission on Wednesday is set to review a Development Plan for 750 W Broadway Ave. that would add four two-story, modular apartment buildings with 32 units on the Virginian Lodge property meeting agenda.
The applicant, HH Land Strategies for Virginian Lodge, LLC, proposes 24 studio units (341 sq ft each) and eight two-bedroom units (852 sq ft each) in about 15,004 sq ft of new floor area, replacing RVs that have historically been used for seasonal and residential housing on the southeast corner of the 7.79-acre site; the plan relies on existing on-site parking to meet most of the new demand and includes an affordable housing fee in lieu of $124,027.08 for 0.455 required units, according to the staff packet. Commissioners will be weighing staff conditions that include providing 11 electric-vehicle-supply-equipment-capable spaces and two installed chargers before Town Council review, revising snow storage so it does not block the southernmost stalls, and moving short-term bicycle parking out from behind the trash enclosure and ensuring some long-term bike parking works for cargo and other non-standard bikes agenda packet.
