County to partner with UW on Grand Targhee Draft EIS workshop
Teton County commissioners are set to approve a research agreement with the University of Wyoming to plan and facilitate a joint workshop focused on the Grand Targhee Resort Expansion Draft EIS.
If you ranch or run a rural business, you do not get to ignore what happens at Grand Targhee. This agreement is the county lining up University of Wyoming capacity to help the two Teton County commissions sit down in the same room and work through the Grand Targhee Resort Expansion Draft EIS in a structured way, instead of lobbing comments over the border.
County staff are recommending approval of a research agreement with UW (through the Ruckelshaus Institute and Haub School) to support that regional engagement around the Draft EIS. The packet frames it as planning and facilitation for a joint workshop tied directly to the Draft EIS process. See: Board of County Commissioners Research Agreement Packet.
