Bentwood Inn wants 13 one-day liquor permits, $1,300 in fees

Teton County is set to approve 13 separate 24-hour catering permits for Bentwood Backyard BBQ events at the Bentwood Inn in Wilson, at $100 per day, totaling $1,300.

If you run events with alcohol, Teton County’s pricing is simple: $100 per 24-hour catering permit, per day. The county has a request from The Liquor Store/Bentwood Inn LLC for 13 permits for “Bentwood Backyard BBQ” dates running June through Oct. 3 at the Bentwood Inn in Wilson, for a total permit bill of $1,300. See: Bentwood Backyard BBQs Staff Report.

This stuff looks routine, staff recommends approval and says there’s no staff impact, but the mechanics matter for smaller operators: if you are trying to build a recurring series, you are paying and filing 13 times (not once) to legally pour wine and liquor off your main license. That is a predictable cost, but it is still a cost you have to bake into the ticket price or F&B minimums.
