Visitor services logged 237,138 winter connections
A tourism board presentation counted airport, visitor center, email and phone contacts from Dec. 1 to March 10, showing how much basic trip guidance still runs through local staff.
Visitor services counted 237,138 total connections from Dec. 1 through March 10, according to the JHTTB visitor services presentation. The biggest buckets were 108,357 impressions at the Jackson Hole and Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center, 83,322 airport enplanements, and 27,183 impressions at the Home Ranch Visitor Center.
The presentation also puts a number on hands-on help: 7,058 main office personal engagements, 20,000 airport personal engagements, 7,460 visitor service emails, and 3,758 phone inquiries. For people who care about tourism management, those figures matter because they show visitor services are not just marketing. They are also the front desk for rules, wayfinding and basic expectations that can make a busy season work better for residents and guests.
