May 18 council agenda puts street safety and water bills in one night

Jackson Town Council’s May 18 agenda includes a Safe Streets grant, a Hidden Ranch speed-limit review, water and sewer rates, irrigation rules and downtown development items.

If your weeknight routine includes driving kids through town, watching the water bill, or wondering what another downtown project means for traffic, the May 18 Jackson Town Council meeting has several items worth skimming before 6 p.m.

The regular meeting agenda lists a Safe Streets for All implementation grant under Pathways, plus a Public Works report on scoping a speed-limit reduction for the Hidden Ranch HOA area. Those are the kinds of items that can eventually show up in everyday family life as slower streets, new safety projects, or changed routes.

Council is also set for third reading on water and sewer rate changes and third reading on irrigation water-efficiency restrictions. Planning items include amendments tied to the Teton Village expansion resort master plan and a mixed-use development plan at 145 W. Pearl Avenue and 65 S. Glenwood Street.

Public comment is available in person, by Zoom, or by email to electedofficials@jacksonwy.gov. The agenda notes the mayor may change the order of items, so families tracking one specific topic may want to tune in from the start.
