May 5 county agenda: Stilson cash, Old Bill’s grants—and Justice Center change orders
The May 5 Teton County commission agenda is heavy on spending decisions: more SPET money for Stilson Transit Center, Old Bill’s grant applications, and multiple Justice Center change orders—plus a small boundary adjustment near the airport.
If you’re trying to make a 5 a.m. shift work without a car, every delay (or cost overrun) at Stilson and on transit planning lands on the workforce first. On Tuesday, the county commissioners have another Stilson Transit Center money item up for discussion— “Consideration of 2022 Transportation Alternatives SPET Allocation for Stilson Transit Center,” listed under Matters from Commission and Staff in the May 5, 2026 BCC agenda.
Also on the agenda: “Consideration of 2026 Old Bill’s Fun Run Grant Applications,” which is where a lot of human-services and community nonprofits try to keep programs afloat year to year. If you’ve ever relied on sliding-scale services, a food pantry, childcare help, or crisis support, this is one of the public choke points where dollars get assigned.
The commission is also scheduled to consider two Justice Center items (Change Order #4 and a separate architect-services change order), plus a Wilson Fire Station #2 sewer-connection design item. In Planning & Development, there’s a boundary adjustment request on Ponderosa Drive near the airport (no net acreage change, just replatting Lots 21-N/21-S to 21A/21B), and a separate Altamont plat amendment item noted as withdrawn.
