Town/county set April 29 joint FY26 budget workshop agenda
A special joint Town Council–County Commission meeting on April 29, 2026 will run through the FY26 budget with blocks for transportation, START, Fire/EMS, housing, planning, parks, airport, and more.
Jackson’s Town Council and the Teton County Board of County Commissioners will hold a special joint meeting Tuesday, April 29, 2026 (8:30 a.m.) for a Fiscal Year 2026 budget workshop, according to the posted agenda in Special Joint Meeting agenda.
The workshop schedule is a quick run through major departments and partners: Transportation/Pathways and START transit in the morning, then Fire/EMS & Emergency Management, Housing, and Planning before lunch. The afternoon is set for Parks & Recreation, the Jackson Hole Airport, Energy Conservation Works, the Travel & Tourism Board, and a joint wrap-up discussion.
For folks who live and work outside of town limits, the big question is whether this joint “budget workshop” is actually where the county will talk about the unglamorous stuff—road maintenance priorities, snow and shoulder work, and fire/EMS coverage in the outlying districts—or whether those decisions stay buried later in the county’s own budget hearings. Public can watch online or join via Zoom as listed on the agenda.
