Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities seeks $8k to expand Clean Car for All program
The Teton County Commission and Jackson Town Council are scheduled April 27 to review a $4,000 county and $4,000 town request from Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities to expand EV-ownership education and outreach through its “Clean Car for All” program.
Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities is asking Teton County and the Town of Jackson for $4,000 each (an $8,000 combined request) as part of the FY2027 community development/initiatives funding cycle, with the application slated for review at the April 27 joint meeting. The nonprofit says the money would support its “Clean Car for All” program, described as EV-ownership education and outreach meant to “reframe old perceptions” and highlight options for people across income levels. In its application, the organization lists an annual operating budget of $329,100 and says the request represents about 25% of its operating budget. It also indicates it expects reductions in other government funding sources this year. The application says it would measure success primarily by participation counts and “before and after” surveys to gauge changes in understanding, with longer-term impact tracked through survey-reported shifts in vehicle or travel mode. The April 27 joint meeting is set up as an application review and budget discussion; the packet notes the town and county typically make final allocation decisions in separate meetings as part of adopting the FY2027 budget.
